Breakout your chunky pink fluro bangles and lace black fingerless gloves because Culture Club is coming to a music venue near you. For the first time in 14 years, the band is touring in all its synthetic-pop glory and all four original band members will be there—Mikey Craig on bass; Roy Hay on guitar and keyboards; Jon Moss on drums and the freakilicious, front man himself, Boy George on vocals.

Forever etched into the lexicon of great ‘80s music, Culture Club is probably best-know cross-generationally for its two hits “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” and “Karma Chameleon.” Other time-honored fan favorites include “Time (Clock of the Heart),” “I’ll Tumble 4 Ya,” and “Church of the Poison Mind.”

Throughout its career, Culture Club released five albums, sold over 50 million records worldwide, won dozens of awards and has even been included on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s list of Top Songs that Shaped Rock & Roll. Synonymous with Culture Club – for better or worse – is Boy George. Throughout a gamut of drug and legal issues over the years, he’s always maintained that there’s more to him. “People have this idea of Boy George,” he once said. “Yes, I’ve had my dark periods, but that isn’t all I am.”

Culture Club plays the Shrine Auditorium on November 19.
