Upper East side Debutant meets old Hollywood Glamour! Following years of silence in the music industry, emotionally driven rapper Charles Hamilton debuts the release of “New York Railing” ft. Rita Ora, his first major single since 2008’s “Brooklyn Girls.” After struggling with depression and mental illness, the twenty-seven year old rapper recently signed with Republic Records to debut his fourthcoming album. Years later, Hamilton is making a comeback and teamed up with the beautiful and talented Rita Ora.

Historically infused with a love affair, the music video depicts the civil rights movement with Rita Ora donning iconic 60’s inspired winged-liner and curls and Hamilton portraying a black Panther. “With the recent increase in reports of police brutality, I feel strongly about vividly depicting the struggle we as African-Americans historically had to go through to reach equality, an equality that is eroding in modern times,” Hamilton tells the New York Post.

The Harlem (where Hamilton originates) inspired track was produced by the Invisible Men, the masterminds behind Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy”, who are also responsible for entirely producing Hamilton’s new album. The trio also previously worked with Ora on DJ Fresh’s “Hot right Now”, so it’s no wonder the two talented artists crossed paths to collaborate on the piano-driven R&B track.

The Harlem MC will appear alongside Ora to perform the piano-driven cut on the season finale of Fox’s hit series Empire, airing March 18.
