The Penmar

Hot off the presses – there’s a super cute restaurant at the Penmar Golf Course!  You don’t have to play golf to enjoy this new neighborhood gem brought to us by local restaurant hero Oscar Hermosillo – think Cerveteca, Clutch and Venice Beach Wines.  Aptly named The Penmar and designed very thoughtfully to pay homage to the 1962 era of the course.  Very mid-century modern – the attention to detail by local design group LANDLOCD is impeccable and the craftsmanship throughout the restaurant is incredible.  All of the tables are hand-carved to mimic the sand traps on the 55 acre course that they overlook. Start your day with a gourmet Bueno Roasters Coffee and Penmar Breakfast Burrito – a massive burrito filled with everything you want for breakfast – or for some lighter fare try the Penmar Green Avocado Toast with heirloom tomatoes and micro radish.   They serve breakfast all day but the daily “Golfer’s Menu” offers tasty clubhouse fare like the Meatball Sandy, Chicken Clubber and the Vintage 1962 Wedge Salad.  And from the Venice Local Favorites Menu – choose from Tacos, Burritos and Nachos.  On the weekend they offer a Brunch Quiche Special for Two with your choice of Mimosa, Draft Beer or Michelada. The outdoor patio is the perfect spot to wind down with friends and and watch the sunset over the green or whatever game is on tv.  It’s great for families as well with lots of space for the kids to run and play and stay tuned for upcoming live entertainment very soon!
