PINOT GRILL!

When I go to a show in LA, the only option for me is to park once! Why deal with LA traffic twice, especially during rush hour? So, if you want to entertain yourself efficiently, I recommend you look into venues for dining that are within walking distance to your destination.

That being said, my favorite downtown spot is Patina’s Pinot Grill at The Music Center. It’s on the Plaza floor so you can’t get more convenient than that if you’re going catch a show. Home to four amazing theatres (Dorothy Chandler Pavilion; Ahmanson Theatre; Mark Taper Forum; and Walt Disney Concert), the Plaza is heavenly with it’s spectacularly lit water fountains dancing under the stars.

Pinot Grill is consistently delicious. They really hustle to get you in-and-out before curtain time. I admire that. You can enjoy a pre-theatre “show themed cocktail” (so fun!), shrimp cocktail and/or a sophisticated cheese plate at a fun, lively outdoor bar. Or, for a more intimate setting, sit under their tented dining area and try the Salmon Caesar Salad, share a mushroom pizza or their signature burger. But, you must save room for dessert! Things always change on the menu here, but I most recently had the Panacotta with Berries. It was truly magnificent.
