Looking for a local spot for lunch or to meet your friends for a casually divine dinner? Perhaps you need to grab some gourmet goodies on your way to a dinner party? Or maybe you just don’t feel like cooking and want to stop in for something tasty to take home. If you live in Mar Vista you’re in luck. The Rustic Kitchen Market-Café-Wine Bar is your new go-to spot.
This cute corner café is the current chapter for Executive Chef Noelle Fanaris and her wine connoisseur husband John Fanaris. Among the menu offerings are a variety of Signature Sliders, Braised Short Rib, Crispy Fried Chicken (organic of course) and Eggplant Parmesan, just to name a few. The Chicken Pot Pie has become a popular menu item. The salads are all superb but my favorite is the Green Goddess with crisp green apples, radishes, cucumbers, mushrooms and pistachios on top of butter lettuce and drizzled with in-house green goddess dressing. And, the best side dish is the Kung-Pao Brussels Sprouts with roasted peanuts. Spicy and delicious!
You will no doubt find a tempting treat in the dessert case. Did someone say Nutella Pie?! Soon they will have their wine and beer license and will offer wine flight tastings and pairings. In the meantime you may bring your own bottle to enjoy with dinner. Check it out!
Rustic Kitchen Market & Cafe is located at 3523 S Centinela Avenue.
