If you work in Universal City or near the studios you must know of Ca Del Sole. This lunch spot staple has served the rich, famous and powerful for over 18 years now. This place consistently cooks up delicious traditional Italian cuisine with a whole lot of integrity. Owner Rodolfo Costella sure knows a thing or two about being Italian and it shows, of course, in the atmosphere and food at the restaurant.
Costella, now recently joined by Andrea Bullo and Franco Simplicio of Moonshadows and The Sunset, vows to keep Ca Del Sole fresh and hip to newcomers and its loyal customers.
Executive Chef Davide Ghizzoni serves up signature items like Mezzelune Di Zucca Baruca (pumpkin-stuffed pasta in butter and sage sauce – to die for!), Capellini All Checca (angel hair pasta with fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic and pressed virgin olive oil), Petto Di Pollo Alla Milanese (breaded chicken breast), and of course traditional Ossobuco (Braised veal shank).
