For art, design and architecture lovers, Palm Springs is the place to be over President’s Day Weekend when the fifth annual Palm Springs Fine Art Fair (PSFAF) February 11-14 intersects with Modernism Week 2016 February 11-21 in this sparkling desert oasis. Once the playground of movie stars, captains of industry and world leaders, the region has evolved into a respected art destination with a vibrant cultural scene devoted to the visual arts.

More than 60 international galleries and over 300 artists will exhibit post-war and contemporary art in the relatively intimate environment created by the PSFAF team. An important stop for acquisition oriented art lovers, PSFAF 2015 featured works by renowned artists such as Tony DeLap, Andy Burgess, Chul Hyun Ahn, Fletcher Benton, Justin Bower and Max-Steven Grossman.

PSFAF 2016 programming includes a panel about planning and protecting your art legacy and installations including Christopher Cichocki’s multi-sensory performance Desert In-Site and JT Burke’s Fabulosis Fabularis, an imposing 20-foot column wrapped in intricate and mysterious imagery, questioning the power of mythology.

The Opening Night Preview on February 11 benefits the Palm Springs Art Museum and the PSFAF Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to pioneering American artist and sculptor Larry Bell.  So much to experience in Palm Springs and only a two hour drive from Los Angeles – we’ll see you there!
