Over Presidents’ Day Weekend, February 15 through 19 Art Palm Springs will once again bring galleries and artists from around the globe to the Palm Springs Convention Center. The event will kick off on February 15 with a gala Black Card Opening night party where celebrities, art aficionados, and glitterati of the art world will premiere the exhibitions.

Visitors throughout the four days will enjoy a kaleidoscope of art offerings with nearly eighty galleries from North and South America, Asia and Europe representing more than 300 artists bringing the world of art to this oasis in the desert. In addition to the gallery exhibitions, there will be an extensive series of talks and special events where attendees can enjoy conversations, videos and lectures by artists, curators and gallery owners.

A few highlights will include: International figurative artist Ali Cavanaugh discussing her youthful fascination with Pop Art that formed the foundation for her mature work involving realistic fresco painting; Gallerist Peter Blake will share his experience in acquiring and living with fine art; attendees on Friday are invited for wine and conversation with artists Kelly Reemtsen and Brad Howe; Artist James Robie will discuss the illusion of his hand carved wooden sculptures.

The desert will turn into a cultural mecca over these four days with Art Palm Springs coinciding with Palm Springs Modernism week offering visitors an exciting week of art and cultural events.
