FRIENDS! THE MUSICAL

Friends! The Musical Parody at Kirk Douglas Theatre July 16-Aug 4th

If you’ve been missing our Must-See-TV FRIENDS Joey, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe and Rachel since the beloved sitcom went off the air in ’04, your chance to reunite with the gang is coming to the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City July 16-August 4 in a Must-See-Onstage experience called FRIENDS! The Musical Parody.

This delightfully naughty confection plucks the best moments from the show’s ten years and recreates them through an uncensored, fast-paced, music filled romp. It’s a typical day at everyone’s fave coffee shop, Central Perk, until a runaway bride (with a fabulous haircut!)  bursts in and turns everyone’s lives upside down.  Creators/Writers Bob and Tobly McSmith know a little something about parody, with their Saved By The Bell Musical a NY Times Critics pick and The Office! A Musical Parody now playing Off Broadway. FRIENDS! makes its LA premiere with this engagement, parodying memorable episodes and storylines in original songs including, “How You Doin’?” (Joey), “We Were On A Break” (Ross), Could I BE Any More In Love With You? (Chandler).  It’s not clear if Phoebe’s classic “Smelly Cat” makes an appearance but “The One Where We Make A Million Dollars An Episode” is sure to be a riot. Recommended for mature audiences, tickets start at $25 for performances Tuesday-Sunday.
