TheMission Impossible franchise seems to be competing with Fast & Furious for the most sequels, and we’re not complaining! There’s nothing more thrilling than Tom Cruise taking on the many faces of Ethan Hunt for yet another IMF mission with his team of elite operatives. And seeing as the seventh installment is titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, we’re guaranteed yet another MI movie in the near future.
In the latest action film, Hunt is assigned to track down a terrifying weapon before it falls into the wrong hands and threatens humanity. Does that sound familiar? Yep. Do we care? Not at all! We’re also promised dark forces from Hunt’s past, a death-defying race around the world, and a new criminal nemesis named Gabriel. While that may sound like formulaic spy stuff, neither Cruise nor director Christopher McQuarrie are big into following scripts, so literally anything can happen. What is guaranteed are explosive action scenes, anxiety-inducing stunts and plot twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Dead Reckoning Part One sees the return of Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby and Simon Pegg, with Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell and Cary Elwes joining the cast.
