Alan Cumming is deliciously malicious on the hit reality series The Traitors. Now back for season three (currently streaming on Peacock), the show has what I think is the best line-up of “traitors” and “faithfuls” ever.
The premise is that Alan invites houseguests to Ardross Castle in the Scottish Islands. It’s as if the best of the best from a bevy of hit reality shows compete for a chance to win a cash prize. Cumming secretly chooses traitors while the faithfuls try to figure out who they are while the traitors manipulate them. There are challenges each week where the two groups compete to add money to a pot and a chance to gain a “shield” which would save them from being “murdered” (eliminated from the game). That’s right, the traitors also “murder” a faithful each night! This season, the addition of “Boston” Rob Mariano (Survivor) is fantastic! He is the master of all things on these reality shows — sort of the “godfather” of reality television … I wouldn’t cross him! I predict he will do very well.
Also joining Mariano are Tom Sandoval (Vanderpump Rules), Ciara Miller (Summer House), Dorinda Medley (Real Housewives of NY), Bob Harper (The Biggest Loser), Bob the Drag Queen, Chanel Ayan (Real Housewives of Dubai), and Dolores Catania (Real Housewives of NJ). Watch!
