Just when you thought Canon Drive couldn’t get any cooler, the City of Beverly Hills is kicking things up a notch with the expansion to its popular Concerts on Canon series of free events. The concert programming began on June 6th and runs through August 31st on Thursday and Saturday evenings at 6:00 and 7:15pm. Concerts on Canon features local, professional musicians showcasing a variety of genres. From Big Band to classic rock to klezmer, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band to Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba to Gatsby Swing, there is definitely something for everyone! The shows turn Thursday and Saturday nights in Beverly Canon Gardens into open-air community gatherings. Fun!
You can head on over after dining at one of Beverly Hills’ many delicious neighborhood restaurants or bring your own food to the concerts. There is limited table seating and lots of open grassy areas, so bring a blanket for lounging about! And that’s not all — there are sing-a-longs at every concert (except July 25th)! Additionally, you won’t want to miss the special BOLD events on Thursday, August 1st (on Rodeo Drive) and Saturday, August 24th (on S. Beverly Drive). The City of Beverly Hills will be posting more info about those two nights very shortly, so keep an eye out.
