While Building Bridges Art Exchange is temporarily closed to support efforts to contain the spread of the corona virus, we are working hard to offer you ways to experience arts, culture, and inspiration, and to remain connected with you during this period of isolation.
Building Bridges Art Exchange Educational program is now online. This marks the 4th year that BBAX has participated in the Inner City Arts program “A Shadow Day, where students have the opportunity to visit with one artist for a day and get a personal look into the life and work of an artist. Since it was not possible to physically visit the studio the shadow day which included a workshop and virtual studio walk through with artist Rachel X Hobreigh, was conducted successfully via Zoom.
In addition to BBAX educational program, BBAS has been gathering artist’s stories from around the world with artists sending short videos, sharing what they are working on and how they are staying connected during the COVID-19 outbreak. The project captures a broad spectrum of stories that demonstrate how culture and the arts are able to help us connect, triumph and survive in a global crisis.
